Dr. Jaeyoung Yoon MD PHD
Mohs Surgeon / Dermatologist
Dr. Yoon is a native of St. Louis. He went to St. Louis University High (SLUH) School then earned his undergraduate degree Cum Laude from Princeton University in New Jersey. He returned back home to continue his education at St. Louis University for his MD and PhD degrees, then specialized in Dermatology during Residency at Barnes Hospital, Washington University. He finished his training with a one year Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and skin cancer at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He served as an assistant Professor of Medicine in the Departments of Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic and University of Missouri, Columbia, Mizzou.
Dr. Jae Yoon has been in private practice for almost 15 years, performed over 20,000 surgical procedures related to skin cancer, elected on the “Best Doctors” list in St. Louis Magazine from 2013-Present, lectured at national level dermatology meetings, and published over 30 peer reviewed articles, book chapters, case studies, posters, abstracts and internet cases. He is Board Certified in Dermatology and is a member of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jae Yoon loves spending time with his family and fishing. He holds a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo and Judo and was the Ivy League Champion in Judo at Princeton University. He still enjoys teaching in his free time.
